Peter Struycken studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Since the 1960s, he has been active as a sculptor, painter, computer artist, and monumental artist. He is one of the founders of the Arnhem School for Environmental Design. Struycken’s diverse body of work always has a focus on translating research into form and color. The arrangement is determined by an internal logic, and the color changes gradually based on a numerical sequence. In 1968, Struycken became one of the first artists to work with computers.
