Anton Corbijn, born in 1955 in Strijen (NL), lives in Amsterdam and Kenya.
Anton Corbijn is best known for his black-and-white photographs of actors, musicians and artists, although he cannot be seen as a celebrity photographer - rather as someone who captures personalities that intrigue him. Many of his photographs have become iconic images of modern pop culture. In addition to his photographic oeuvre, Corbijn also designed stages, books and the logo of Christian Ouwens Gallery. He has directed music videos and feature films. In 2007 he made his film debut with 'Control', followed by The American (2010), A Most Wanted Man (2014), Life (2015) and in 2023 the documentary Squaring the Circle (the story of Hipgnosis).
Switzerland, written by Joanna Murray-Smith and based on her 2014 play of the same name, will be released in 2026. The lead roles are played by Helen Mirren, Alden Ehrenreich and Olivia Cooke.
