Florence Di Benedetto was born in Bari in 1975 to a French mother and an Italian father. She lives and works in Milan. After graduating from the Italian Institute of Photography in Milan, she began working as a fashion and still-life photographer and as an assistant to the artist-photographer Maurizio Galimberti. She then embarked on a personal exploration of the intersection of photography and painting, seeking an original interpretation of metropolitan landscapes, before moving on to pop- and hyperrealist-inspired painting. In recent years, she has focused on telling stories with a personal and often symbolic approach. Her work is included in important institutional and private collections. She is represented by Podbielski Contemporary in Milan, Galleria Susanna Orlando in Pietrasanta, and AnzenbergerGallery in Vienna.
