Norman Dilworth (Wigan, 1931 – Lille, 2023) was a British artist associated with Concrete Art and geometric abstraction. In his sculptures, reliefs and drawings, he explored how simple forms could generate complex structures through repetition, rhythm and mathematical order. His works in materials including wood and steel combine clear principles with a playful, almost organic sense of growth. The interplay between form, void and space is central to his practice. Dilworth studied at the Slade School of Fine Art in London and worked for many years in Amsterdam before settling in Lille.
