Kris De Plecker is a Belgian multidisciplinary visual artist (born in 1967 in Dendermonde) who lives and works in Opwijk. He works with a wide range of techniques – from graphic art, drawing and photography to collage, spatial work and painting – and creates a visual language that experiments with rhythm, structure and space.
In addition to his artistic practice, Kris also teaches at the Sint-Lukas Kunsthumaniora in Brussels, where he shares his passion for image and form with young creators. In his studio, filled with found materials, books and papers, he creates layer upon layer of compositions in which architectural proportions and organic influences come together in a coherent, refined visual language.
