Annett Zinsmeister (1967, DE) creates experimental spaces; extremely clean spaces where the serial aspects of the Plattenbau architecture unfold both the cruelty of endless repetition and the aesthetic of the minimal. The contrast between the limited monotony and the fascinating beauty of a structural and serial pattern makes the viewer experience an emotion of both fascination and irritation, uncertainty and wonder, attraction and repulsion.
