Veronika Bezdenejnykh graduated with a master’s degree in painting from KASK Ghent in 2015. In 2019 she started teaching art. Her works have been exhibited in various art spaces including Ciap, Geukens & De Vil, and Pizza Gallery. In 2015, she co-founded To Be Antwerp, a platform dedicated to supporting recently graduated master students.
In her artistic practice Veronika explores personal musings, memories, and the essence of creating and recognizing an image. Her works often manifest in series, evoking the aesthetics of wallpapers, mosaics, and decorative painting techniques. Utilizing mixed media, oil paint and digital tools, her pieces seek to both integrate and estrange themselves from the surrounding space. This process reflects an endeavor, borrowing from the words of Ben Okri, to "show the true extent of our kingdom and not accept that what appears to be is all there is."
