BIO
Céline Mathieu (b. 1989, Belgium) is an artist and writer whose work plays on the malleability of understanding, using linguistic and bodily sensibilities. She had recent solo exhibitions at Sentiment Zürich and at Gr_und and Lebensmittel, Berlin. Céline was part of exhibitions at Kunsthal Extra City, Antwerp; Gallery Cité Internationale des Arts Paris, La Virreina, Barcelona; Contemporary Art Museum Mu.Zee, Ostend; Sentiment-Studiolo, Paris; Corridor and PuntWG, Amsterdam; CLAPTRAP and AAIR, Antwerp. With her duo CMMC she presented at Museum M, Leuven; 019/SMAK, Publiek Park Ghent, MHKA Lodgers; Antwerp and they had a solo exhibition at IKOB Museum of Contemporary Art, Eupen. Céline has an upcoming solo exhibition at PLUS-ONE Gallery, Antwerp (2023). Her work was recently featured in Mousse Magazine n° 81.

Editorial and graphic design
She has made publications for Jan Van Eyck Academie and its writing program with designer Christophe Clarijs for three years. Together they also designed Tubelight, the magazine for young Dutch Art Criticism.
