Private Viewing | Tosja van Lieshout – Ripples on the Water
31 October | Yellow Gallery
In Ripples on the Water, Tosja van Lieshout explores the space between perception, memory and imagination. Landscapes, water surfaces, flowers and animals emerge in abstracted forms, where colour and composition take precedence over literal representation.
Drawing on the poetic qualities of nature and the boundary between figuration and abstraction, Van Lieshout creates images that evoke more than they reveal. Like reflections on water, her paintings shift between recognition and imagination, inviting the viewer into a world that feels both familiar and elusive.
