Rencontres: May 31 – June 28, 2026
The exhibition Rencontres brings together the work of Heske de Vries, Michel Hoogervorst, and Veron Urdarianu in a shared dialogue.
De Vries focuses on small, everyday scenes and objects. Through subtle colours and a refined painterly approach, she depicts vulnerability, stillness, and the beauty of the ordinary.
Hoogervorst, by contrast, explores oppositions: organised and organic, precise and loose. His paintings, featuring recurring motifs such as flowers and tools, form a personal visual language around themes of transience and human intervention.
Urdarianu adds a spatial dimension with his fragile Temporary Living Units. These maquettes are not intended as functional designs, but rather as representations of ideas about shelter and survival.
Together, the three artists reveal a tension between stillness and movement, painting and space. Rencontres refers to this encounter between distinct yet mutually reinforcing perspectives.
You are warmly invited.
