This year’s Art Rotterdam we present a well-rounded group exhibition that reflects Gallery Untitled's ethos: merging exceptional technical craftsmanship with a contemporary aesthetic.
Within this group presentation, Driessens & van den Baar receive a solo presentation with their series Verzwinden, in which they use a self-developed technique exposing wool felt to sunlight through custom stencils. Over 240 hours, UV light fades the material, creating duotone images reminiscent of early photography. This method, developed over two years with support from the Mondriaan Fonds and Cultuurfonds, reflects on global crises and collective memory.
Carlijn Kingma will present her newest work, ‘The Machinery of Public Housing’, set to be completed in January 2026. Trained as an architect, Kingma is known for her intricate, hand-drawn maps that visualize complex societal systems. Floris Hovers, recognized for his playful and distinctive designs using recycled materials, will debut new artworks featuring ships and container vessels. Sander Buijk will showcase his latest sculptures, noted for their unconventional combinations of materials. In the photography of Lenny Oosterwijk, the sky serves as a stage for shifting light and color, capturing fleeting moments and transforming them into poetic visual narratives.
