GALERIE CAROLINE O’BREEN is pleased to showcase work by artists Satijn Panyigay (NL), Jaya Pelupessy (NL) and Anastasia Samoylova (US) at the Main Sector of Paris Photo 2025. The three presented artists revisit photography’s relationship to place, time, and material.
Satijn Panyigay (1988, NL) photographs transitional, uninhabited spaces—museums between exhibitions, construction sites, deserted offices or, her latest addition, the building of Grand Palais—where absence and light become subjects in themselves.
Jaya Pelupessy (1989, NL) presents new developments to his Pictorial Fields, unique works made through a laborious process of layering photosensitive emulsions, where each image becomes both construction and experiment.
Anastasia Samoylova (1984, US) photographs Atlantic Coast, retracing Berenice Abbott’s Route 1 to reveal what remains of the American dream in landscapes reshaped by tourism and development.
