Lumen Travo Gallery is proud to invite you to the opening of our two upcoming exhibitions, featuring works by Kristiina Koskentola and Jens Pfeifer.
In the exhibition space, Kristiina Koskentola presents a collection of recent works, including the sound installation Crossing Lives (2022) that stems from long-term collaborative research with Megumi Shimizu in Northern Honshu, Japan. In this piece two incantations, each on its own speaker, merge to call for planetary healing, urging humans to reaffirm interrelationality, multispecies kinship, and shared histories and futures.
In the office space, Jens Pfeifer presents Mapping the World – Part 1. This new work is informed by what is commonly identified as nature. Through a broader lens, the work seeks to capture the interconnectedness of our environment in its entirety.
Though these artists come from different backgrounds their practices resonate deeply, engaging in a dialogue centered on environmental consciousness, interconnectivity, and spirituality, exploring alternatives to anthropocentric views of the world.
Join us for the opening on Friday 11 April, 17:00 - 19:00 hrs at Lumen Travo Gallery.
