‘Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.’
– William Wordsworth
Paper whispers when it’s being written or drawn on, which is what the artists of this exhibition do. The whispers are a harbinger of things to come: intimate outpourings, secrets quietly entrusted to paper. Sometimes hesitant, but oh so sincere, disarming, fragile, and special. The works at Paper Whispers are authentic and honest, they have no filter and lend a direct insight into the soul of the artists, and, above all, they demonstrate a sharp summary of their artistic skills. Five artists show the softness of the paper, but also confront the stubbornness with which paper fibres braid themselves around our hearts.
