andriesse ~ eyck gallery is delighted to present some well-known gallery artists and some new names at the upcoming edition of Art Rotterdam. Next to Carel Blotkamp’s luminescent takes on Gustav Mahler’s Lied von der Erde, and Marijn van Kreij’s artistic investigations into the works of modern masters such as Picasso and Agnes Martin, we show a series paintings by Rory Pilgrim based on his personal iconography including motives such as the purse which is passed on from generation to generation, and the flaming sea.
Our gallery represents established and upcoming artists working in different media, ranging from painting, and drawing, to sculpture, photography, video, and textiles. Antonietta Peeters will be represented with a beautiful and delicate 3D painting, and from the photographer Cuny Janssen we have included a selection of portraits which take as their subject the preciousness of family connections.
Over the last two years artists like Jakup Ferri and Rory Pilgrim launched their international careers with exhibitions at prestigious platforms such as the Venice Biennial and the Serpentine Gallery in London. We are excited to bring several of the paintings from Jakup Ferri’s show at the Venice Biennial to Rotterdam. Last but not least, we are delighted to show a selection of textile works by Koen Taselaar, who is the newest addition to our great family of gallery artists.
Looking forward to meeting you at Art Rotterdam!
