Tahné Kleijns solo exhibit 'Zoals het Klokje Tikt' presents a selection of works from four different series of photography; Soo d'Oude Songen, Soo Pypen de Jongen (based on the style of the Dutch 17th century painter Jan Steen), Mijn waarde Vincent (inspired by her residency at Zundert where Vincent van Gogh lived), Zonder Geluk Vaart Niemand Wel (based on the flood in The Netherlands in 1953) and Stilte Heeft het Laatste Woord (based on the Corona pandemic). The foundation of tahné Kleijns photography is based on extensive research and careful staging. Kleijn has developed a recognizable handwriting inspired by the lighting and compositions of the Dutch 17th century paintings. This forms the basis for creating contemporary genre pieces, as well as still lifes and portraits.
