Base-Alpha Gallery presents works by David Boon, Denie Put and Soetkin Verslype at Ballroom Project #5.
Ballroom Project is a unique creative and commercial platform that aims to bring together galleries and artists from around the world. Connecting national and international galleries and artists, the project fosters a sense of community and collaboration within the art world, ensuring that each work of art is presented in the best possible light. Unlike traditional art fairs, the project employs a talented curator who creates an exhibition concept based on submissions from participating galleries. Entrants can submit three works, regardless of art discipline, either by the same artist or by three different artists.
Thanks to the curator of Ballroom Project, the exhibition is tailored to the specific dynamics of the exhibition space, creating an immersive and captivating experience for visitors on the one hand and reaching a wider audience on the other. Ballroom Project is an exciting and innovative platform that has grown over the years into a must-see event for art lovers in Antwerp and beyond, introducing visitors to new and exciting artists and galleries from all over the world. Whether you are an art enthusiast or an art professional, Ballroom Project offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of contemporary art.
For its fifth edition, Ballroom Project takes place in the former Justice Palace of Borgerhout, which has an elegant, homely and open character, making it the perfect location to enter into a dialogue with the wonders of the art world. The project is an initiative of the local players Base-Alpha Gallery and DMW Gallery, two galleries with strong ties to the Antwerp art scene. Ballroom Project takes place during the Antwerp Art Weekend from 18 to 21 May 2023.
