Everyday objects inspire Lisa Sebestikova and Romee van Oers. They consider, deduse, decompose, reduce to produce a representation with the qualities of the object: form, material, movement.....
They give the objects a new life of their own, leaving the source of their inspiration recognisable.
The point is not what it is, but how it appears, focussing the properties of a specific form or colour that might associate.
Suggestive is the gravity in the paintings from Romee van Oers, while the sculptures from Lisa Sebestikova seem to float in space. An exciting interaction between sculpture and paintings, even strengthened because for this exhibition they accompany their works with sounds from the studio's from both artists, in which the associative aspects of form are further investigated.
