Art Rotterdam 2023
We are very happy to welcome you at our booth number 39.
9 - 12 February 2023
Opening: 8th February 2023
We are looking forward to two special presentations with Sophie Stiller and Vincent Verhoef. Sophie Stiller's work comprises poems, sculpture and objects. A linguistic connection brings these different elements in close proximity to each other. Stiller works with the tension between stability and fragility. The objects, texts and sculptures belong to each other but also exist on their own terms. Vincent Verhoef presents new paintings dealing with the colour green, historically associated with bad luck due to the toxicity of the dyes. In this paintings the same green can be the green of poker tablecloths, but also the fertile green of landscape and its history.
Also, Rob Bouwman’s most recent body of work consists of translucent oil-based colours on wood panels. While contemporary painting often remains beholden to the Postmodern by reproducing the fragmentary or the unfinished, his works shows that the artist’s process does not stop by achieving an arbitrary endpoint.
