From a young age the seductive side of advertisements and image building fascinated me. In my early twenties I finished a BA in Communication and worked in advertising. But it made me itch. I went back to school to study the power of images finishing my BA in Photography in 2011 and a MA in Photography/ Fine Art in 2018.
My artistic practice focuses on visual culture. My photographic works and moving images concentrate on digital mass media, specifically in relation to human identity.
Images seduce me on a daily basis. I'm curious how this seduction takes place, what effect it has on our sense of reality, and how it (re)shapes identity. I investigate how images circulate and what this does to their meaning. Based on the vantage point of the viewer I want to question not only what we see, but also what we perceive to be real.
