Unfortunately, the gallery has to close its doors to the public until January 19. Nevertheless we will built up a physical show, which will be presented to you digitally. Various artists will be highlighted in the coming weeks and the works on display will be immediately available and can be delivered or picked up the same day.
We kick off this 2020 Lockdown Happy New Year Show with a 60-part series of ceramic tiles by Jan Hoek, Duran Lantink and SistaazHood. With the proceeds of this project they want to realise a long cherished dream: a fashion show in Cape Town. So when you purchase this work, you contribute to fulfilling their wish, entirely within the Christmas spirit! The tiles cost €50,- each. Send us an email if you would like to purchase a tile. We will festively wrap it for you!
During the second part of our exhibition with Jan Hoek, Duran Lantink and SistaazHood, we will be showing unique works from the project. Together with Simon Marsiglia, Jan made special frames with objects that typify the depicted Sista.

The project Sistaaz of the Castle is a collaboration between Jan Hoek (1984), Duran Lantink (1987) and SistaazHood, an organisation for transsexual sex workers in Cape Town, South Africa. The Sistaaz are powerful activists - proud to be trans, proud of their work and even more proud of their great sense of style. Together they created a series of photos and a fashion collection based on the Sistaaz' looks and their ability to turn everything they find into the most exuberant outfits. So far, this has resulted in an activist fashion show during Amsterdam Fashion Week, a photo exhibition at Foam, and a publication.
