Rademakers Gallery is particularly known for emphasizing on the ‘crossovers’ between Art & Design. That is why we are very happy to participate for the first time in Collectible Brussels: a unique fair dedicated exclusively to 21st century contemporary collectible design. Sustainability is one of our major pillars, which is perfectly executed in the exhibition Rademakers Gallery will be showing during Collectible Brussels.
Onno Adriaanse is a multidisciplinary designer who makes art installations and extraordinary furniture. He works on the crossover between art, design and concept development, being convinced the most interesting designs can be found by combining different disciplines and materials. Like his Delta Mirror, showing an abstract river landscape, executed in a challenging combination of wood and brass.
Designer Diederik Schneemann is fascinated by collecting and reusing collections of objects. He is allways looking for a new existence for these objects, and plays with the concept of ‘value’. Expressed in money, discarded matchboxes or perfume bottles are of little value, but the love for these objects and the way of how they were collected is particularly valuable. With his design he is giving an added value to discarded materials and hidden collections.
Rademakers Gallery will present an exciting scoop at Collectible Brussels by showing a brand new lamp by Pien Post, a young female designer who just graduated from the Interior and Furniture Design department at the Royal Academy in The Hague. Her design plays with the construction of realities through the use of narrative, signs and symbols. Her collection “OBJACT” is a reaction to the common ground of Dutch culture.
Cécile Bichon is a multidisciplinary designer based in Paris. Originally trained in graphic design, she gradually turned to installation and sculpture before focusing on ceramics. She creates unique ceramic design in soft shades of color, by exploring the possibilities of the material to constantly renew her tactile shapes and creative processes. Her ceramic designs are amongst Pien Rademakers favorites.
