Dieter Mammel (1965) is known for applying a special technique in his paintings. He uses ink on raw canvas which is made wet, so the colour runs out and branches whimsically.
Here he depicts a deer standing in a flooded field observing the lights of houses in the distance. Question is by what or whom the animal is lighted itself causing a certain amount of suspence. With the canvas comes a small drawing of a deer with a bandaged leg.
