Fuchsia was produced in the National Glass Museum Leerdam by master glassblower Gert Bullee. Christie van der Haak made the design with vertical lines and elongated circles on a lilac background. The vase is built around a core in which a cavity is first blown, which ensures extra reflection in the glass. Then patches and stripes of colored glass are put on the core, after each addition the vase is immersed in transparent glass to create a layered pattern.
